AUGUST GARDEN UPDATE!

It's time for another garden update! August is coming to an end and there are some exciting and disappointing things happening in the garden. The peppers are looking great and some of the hotter varieties are finally starting to ripen, but there are also a lot of plants that have died or are dying, including a lot of my tomatoes! Gardening is always a bit of an adventure and this year has been no different.

For a point of reference, I'm in Virginia in Zone 7. All of the plants in the garden we either seeded directly or started from seed inside, excluding a few basil plants. I like to grow a lot heirloom varieties, which means lots of interesting shapes and colors!
