Make Meal Time with Kids LESS STRESSFUL!

For a lot of parents, eating with kids and meal time with kids can be stressful! Dinner can dissolve into battles over how much a kid is eating or which foods they're eating and it's no fun for anyone. Parents can feel like they have to work to get food into their child or worry that their child isn't eating enough of certain foods. So what can parents do to help their kids eat well and learn to like a variety of foods without all of the stress and fighting? The answer is for kids and parents to each do their own jobs at meal time and not try to do what the other is supposed to be doing. This is called the Division of Responsibility. It's a framework developed by a dietitian named Ellyn Satter and it makes it clear and easy to understand what the parent is responsible for at meals and what the child is responsible for.
